The backing should also be 3" bigger than your quilt top on all four sides. For example, if your quilt top measures 50" x 50", you want your batting to be at least 56" x 56".

Please place a safety pin in the center of the top of the backing fabric so we can ensure that your top and back are both going in the direction you intended.
